Considered advice, in writing, at a price agreed in advance
We advise owner-managed businesses and private clients on the matters that decide how a company or an estate is run. Every instruction begins with a scope, a fee and a named partner.
Trusted by leading teams
Everything you need
Four areas, advised in depth. Anything outside them we refer on, with a name and a reason.
- 01
A partner reads every file
The solicitor who takes your instruction is the one who signs the advice. Work is delegated where it is sensible, never where judgement is required.
- 02
Scope and fee agreed before work begins
You receive a written engagement letter setting out what is included, what is not, and what it will cost, before a single hour is recorded.
- 03
Advice you can act on without a translator
We set out the position, the risk and our recommendation in plain English, with the legal reasoning attached rather than embedded.
- 04
Litigation only when it is the better option
We will tell you when a commercial settlement serves you better than a claim, including when that means a smaller fee for us.
Founded 1998
A deliberately small firm that turns down work outside its four practice areas
We have been advising owner-managed businesses and private clients from the same building since 1998. The firm has stayed small on purpose: four practice areas, partner-led files and no attempt to be everything to everyone. When a matter falls outside what we do properly — criminal defence, immigration, complex tax structuring — we say so and refer you to a firm we would use ourselves.
- Regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority; professional indemnity cover confirmed on request
- Fixed fees for defined work; hourly rates published and estimates reviewed monthly
- We do not act where a conflict exists, and we say so at the first meeting

“Eleanor told us at the first meeting that our proposed structure would cause a problem in three years. She was right, and the redraft cost less than the dispute would have.”
